Only seeing this now but I agree with you it's hard to tell if that's a guitar or vocal line. Initially I thought "Yeah that could be vocals" but now I'm not so sure - it's a spoiler note for me.

Yeah, I kept hearing an E5 backing vocal when listening to the side channel in the mix. It either is or isn't there, but if it isn't its most likely an overtone from the E4 harmony which also plays at the same time, however there are higher notes that are prominent too and the E5 would appear in that sequence.

I'm pretty sure the Save Yourself E5 is just an E4 with a phaser effect. Can't hear the D3s in Scarecrow (maaaaybe E3s but I don't really want to count them). And which D5 are you talking about?

the D5 is during the chrous around 1:27 where the now confirmed non existent E5 was
the D5 is def there cause ive shared it and aphelion and 1 other agreed with me
if you dont believe , i could send the file aphelion isloated for me showing it exist

The F#5 is linked, and I found a couple other performances where he does it (even one or two G5s but they kinda sucked)
