Just finished notewatching Dance Devil Dance, and damn - Johannes really made a comeback with his high range on this one! I haven't heard him hit mid fifth octave notes with this frequency since like Avatar's third album, but now all of a sudden he's back to hitting stuff in the F5-F♯5 range on multiple songs across the album (some of it even as melody notes!), and a couple G5s. Meanwhile there's not as much in the ways of lows, but there are still a few passages for those here and there, including these two that I could use some pitching help on.
I think I'm hearing this mostly bottom around D2, but I think I hear a short A1 at 2:32 on "you gotta orgaNIZE, organize". Thoughts?
This song may have his lowest lead vocal melody singing to date, but I'm having a hard time figuring out where it bottoms at some points. First there's the passage from 0:31 to 1:00, where I think I'm hearing C♯2s on "there's a man on this TRAIN with a black WHITE cat" and on "and HE lifts the tip of his hat". Then there's another passage from 2:27 to 2:54, where I think I hear another C♯2 on "AND showed a hole in his back" and a D♯2 on "and the whole wide world WENT black". However, I could also use a second opinion here, given the breathy/exhaley nature that he approaches some of those notes with.

Aren't those two C2s his lowest melody singing? They aren't italic as they'd otherwise be

Saw Avatar live for the second time last night, and it was INCREDIBLE! Absolutely 10/10 show - top tier metal entertainment. I think Johannes might be at his vocal peak right now, because he's got all the strength in his belting and mid range that he developed around the time of Black Waltz in 2012, but he's regained more or less the same amount of control and endurance with his high range, and is just busting out mid fifth octave notes all over the place again.
In particular, I heard him hit some VERY high notes at the end of "Chimp Mosh Pit" and "Let It Burn" last night. Thankfully people have already uploaded videos from it, so I can go back and pitch them!
A pretty crazy A5 here!
Slides up to a pretty strong A5 here.
Checked another performance of "Chimp Mosh Pit", and heard him get a B♭5 in this one!

I stumbled upon a live performance of "Torn Apart". He sings down to C♯3s at 4:30. The screams are difficult to pitch though, sounds like it gets up to C♯5 I think but I'm not sure.

Avatar just dropped two new songs the other day, and this one has some of Johannes' strongest G♯5s to date! Aside from the one timestamped here, he hits others at 0:32 and 1:28, along with melody singing up to C♯5 on the verses, D5 on the prechorus, and E5 on the choruses!
Here we have E5s with harmony G5s at the end of every chorus in this song, but I find myself going back on whether or not the lead part might get up to a short F♯5 on "make IT rain". Any thoughts? Other than that, we've got D3s and G4s on the verses of this one, and B4s and harmony D5s on the pre-choruses.
