This is Dark Star v BassSquared in Round Four of the Clip-Off. You have five days to submit your clips, and until 23:00 GMT Time Thursday, July 9 to vote. July 10 is the Results Day. For this round, you have to use all your singers! The categories for Round Four are: 1. Best High Singing: A performance that places particular importance on singing high notes. Relative to the singer. The clip doesn't have to be exclusively high singing but the more high notes are utilised and the higher they are (relative to the singer), the more appropriate it is for the category. 2. Best Low Singing: A performance that places particular importance on singing low notes. Relative to the singer. The clip doesn't have to be exclusively low singing but the more low notes are utilised and the lower they are (relative to the singer), the more appropriate it is for the category. 3. Best Usage of Mid-Range: Singing that's made interesting despite (or perhaps because of) not placing particular importance on either high or low notes. There are no concrete thresholds to mid-range, but your best bet is to try and gauge whether the singing sounds mid-rangy. The pair are free to post their clips, voting commences as soon as they have. Vote here. Current Vote Count: 5

{Best High Singing: David Coverdale - Slow An Easy} youtu.be/LQ9gBjVoQkU?t=113 (to 3:15) Coverdale does some insane fifth octave wailing on the verses, particularly the second one where he does some creative phrasing on top of the demanding vocal lines. {Best Low Singing: Scott Weiland - Set Me Free} youtu.be/lyu8ri7kHVw?t=30 (:30 to :43, 1:12 to 1:25, 1:59 to 2:09; everything else is a solo or higher singing) Weiland shows off some booming low singing throughout both in the main verses and lead vocals. {Best Mid-Range Singing: George Michael - Something to Save} youtu.be/lC3yF-e8KKo?t=75 (to 2:35) Wonderful, passionate mid-range singing from Michael, possessing great tone and control, alternating full voice and a breathier delivery, at a fairly brisk clip as well.

{Best High Singing- Josh Ramsay}
2:02 to 3:17. Josh improvises some nice highs over the final chorus here, both with falsetto and more of a mixed style. Fun little melismatic bits abound, as well as an abrupt jump from C4 to G5 which is pretty cool. {Best Low Singing- Peter Steele}
3:41 to 5:25, instrumental from 4:21 to 4:41. Yeah, the CORPUS CHRISTI C#2s might seem like a bit too obvious of a choice, but they are pretty damn sizable. I also like the second half of the clip in which Pete shows the softer, less boomy side of his low range. {Best Midrange Singing- Rachael Price}
0:45 to 2:14. A very nice performance of an old standard that focuses more on long, pretty sustains than any form of rangewankery. Mostly on the soft side but she pulls the dynamics up as the clip goes on in a rather satisfying way.
