This is Tara v Breakfast in D-sharp in Round Eight of the Clip-Off. You have five days to submit your clips, and until 23:00 GMT Time Tuesday, August 18 to vote. August 19 is the Results Day. This is the final round! You must use separate singers for Best Live Singing/Best Studio Singing, but you can use any of your singers for Free Choice. The categories for Round Eight are: 1. Best Live Performance: A live vocal take done during a live show, a stage show or live in studio, etc. 2. Best Studio Performance: A studio take of a vocal, which may include backing and/or harmony singing. 3. Free Choice: A clip you thought was interesting in terms of its vocal that you just really want to show off; you can use a song here that you were perhaps saving for a category but didn't get to use. The teams are free to post their clips, voting commences as soon as they have. Vote here. Current Vote Count: 3

{Live}Here is a live acoustic video performance with Jenna singing and TA guitarist Whakaio Taahi accompanying. The time is the entire video - 0:00 to 2:39. This song has themes of saving and such because it was written for the Australian soundtrack of "The'Amazing Spider-Man 2".
{Studio}Here is my favourite Fall Out Boy song of all time. The most surprising parts (F2, superhuman breath control despite his asthma, overdubbing) are kind of scattered throughout the song, so I haven't wanted to use it for any of the 2-minute categories. The time is 0:08 to 3:53 (end). I hope you enjoy it. Me on results day when I realise I picked a bad clip: Wish I didn't I didn't I didn't I didn't I didn't I didn't I didn't
{Free Choice}Here is Darren exploring the duality of man in the Glee version of Hey Jude. The times are 1:28 - 1:56 and then 3:23 - 4:54. The first part is a smooth solo verse, and the second part is rather chaotic so please see beneath the video as I have provided a transcription with Darren's parts in bold. Sorry if the video's white background makes the time hard to see!
Glee Cast (Darren): Nah nah nah nah, hey Jude (Jude, Jude-y Jude-y Jude-y Jude-y Jude-y OW WOW) Nah, nah nah nah nah nah nah (Woo! My my my) Nah nah nah nah, hey Jude (Jude, Jude, Jude, Jude, Juuude) Nah, nah nah nah nah nah nah (Yeah, yeah, yeah) Nah nah nah nah, hey Jude (Yeah, you know you can make it Jude, JUDE you're not gonna break it, yeaah) Nah, nah nah (Don't make it bad, Jude) Nah nah nah nah (Take a sad song and make it better) Nah nah nah nah, Hey Jude (Jude, hey Jude, yAAAAAAAAAaaahaaaaoow!)
Nah, nah nah (Woo! Jude) Nah nah nah nah (Yeah) Nah nah nah nah, Hey Jude (Hey-ey-ey yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah) Nah, nah nah (Hey, yeah) Nah nah nah nah (Hey, yeah, yeah-yeah) Nah nah nah nah, Hey Jude (Now Jude, Jude, Jude, Jude, JUDE, yeah yeah yeah yeah-yeah) Nah, nah nah, nah nah nah nah (Whoa! Yeah, yeah, YEAH yeah) Nah nah nah nah, Hey Jude (Hey-ey-hey JUU-u-u-wowohhhh)

{Best Live Performance} 1:16-3:38
The one you all knew was coming sooner or later in this clip-off - Susan Boyle's iconic audition performance of I Dreamed a Dream in her first TV appearance (aged 47!) on Britain's Got Talent.
{Best Studio Performance} Whole song (vocals approx 0:21-4:34).
Some parts of this sound a bit like a duet, but all the male vocals are Billy Mackenzie (also features backing vocals by Caragh McKay), with some beautifully subtle backing vocals and a good couple of octaves in the lead, including numerous C5s and a few F5s. {Free Choice} 58:03-end(ish)
I was hoping for a suitable category such as A Capella or Agility for this amazing live performance of Clare, but maybe this is the best round for it since I can now present the whole song not just 2 minutes.
