stone temple pilots is a criminally underrated act by music appreciators, they had the absolute worst deal cut for them back in the 90s (pitchfork reviewing them for 0, saying scott weiland was a worthless j*nkie that should just off themselves) an evocative band who never made the same album twice, caught in the maelstrom of 'grunge' wankers who couldn't get over their own cynical scene fad taste. incapable of viewing anything not dissonant and obnoxiously loud as 'real' don't listen to core though lmao Agreed. STP got sadly grunge labeled even tho they werent even from seattle. But they are easily on of the most versatile 90s Bands. And man.. Weiland was one hell of a singer. Just compare "Dead & Bloated" with "And so I know". He could do it all.

99% of rap and hip hop is awful. Hardly any actual singing or musical talent goes into them. The lyrics could all be generated by an algorithm for all we know because it's always the same song about drugs, sex, and murder.

Holy shit thats a hot take, but are you referring to modern rap/hip hop or just all rap/hip hop?

The only good ones are Power by Kanye and The Search by NF (and if you want to consider NDW 2005 by Fler as rap/hip hop).

Some more than others and Sometimes you get a crazy flow like kanye east

Take, for example, Wonderful Christmastime by Paul McCartney, the worst Christmas song ever produced.

Minecraft - Volume Beta is slightly better than Minecraft - Volume Alpha. It's really close, but when you have The End, Aria Math, Haunt Muskie, Dead Voxel, Mutation, Taswell, Ballad of the Cats, Biome Fest, and Concrete Halls all in the same album you'd be hard-pressed to beat it (yes, even with Sweden and Haggstrom).

I think "Far Beyond Driven" by Pantera is probably their worst album, though I wouldn't classify it as a bad album by any means. Sure, it's heavier and more harsh than Vulgar Display of Power but it doesn't really catch the grooviness of said album. Songs like Good Friends and Bottle of Pills and Use My Third Arm are legit some of the most cringe stuff I have ever listened to. There are amazing songs like 5 Minutes Alone, 25 Years, and Becoming but almost all tracks are just kinda boring and all over the place. You could say Reinventing the Steel is worse but I would say thats a little more better in the quantity of songs.

I think "Far Beyond Driven" by Pantera is probably their worst album Discounting the glam era, which just feels like a different band to me, I might agree with this. Cowboys and Vulgar are my two favs. FBD, GST and Reinventing I like a bit less, but still enjoy.

Sigilkore, hexd, surge, hyper, glitchcore, and digicore is literally 90% same-ish and I hate how people think it's the best thing in the world. It used to be better at the beginning cuz it just was fun experimentation with pop cliches and now it's "the next step in the pop" like stfu

Carpenter Brut's cover of "Maniac" is better than the original and it is not close.

I don’t like The Beach Boys. I know a lot of people do, but I have tried to get into them and I simply can’t. They have maybe 1 or 2 okay songs. The rest I do not like.

idk how hot of a take this is or if it will even make sense. but to me the album shout by devo seeing a spike in popularity recently is deeply perplexing because in a void it stands as a mediocre new wave album, and in a real world context is a horrible failure as a satisfying devo project and is to varying degrees unrepresentative of the sound, energy, personality and general musicianship shown in their preceding 5 albums. puppet boy specifically seeing a resurgence in popularity is baffling to me personally because it is very much a good synopsis of the album that represents devo's falling off point. i will be fair though their debut is one of my personal favorite albums like ever so i am probably the issue in this scenario and just care too much about early devo to be able to empathize with puppet boy likers

Oasis is overrated. For a period of time when search engines had those recommended articles underneath the search bar, for some reason there was always one each month or so that was like "Here's what ___ Gallagher thinks about *insert artist name here*. Guess what? He thinks they're shit!" Yeah, okay, Liam. Tough talk for a guy who has a career built off of wailing like a cat on some mid sounding song he didn't help write, played the tambourine of all instruments in a band with his multi-instrumentalist brother, and proved the only real requirement to being a rock frontman is being a knob.
Come to think of it, I may or may not just hate Liam Gallagher. Blur still stomps Oasis every day of the week though.

I know how controversed they are in the metal community (and even outside of it), but damn, I love Periphery and Spencer Sotelo's vocals. Periphery II: This Time It's Personal is also one of my favourite albums ever and basically got me into progressive metal Periphery pretty much got me into metal as a whole, love that shit!
