Any thoughts on how his distortion technique has changed over the years? It feels like during Nightmare/Hail to the King and onwards it's not as rough as it used to be. Not sure if he's changed techniques, or he uses less of it, or his voice is just shot. During the last album he definitely sounded a bit shot, but I'm not sure it's just that. He still sounded like he was distorting in pretty much the same way on Nightmare and Hail to the King, at least to my ear. But around 2014 he started to tone down the distortion live a whole lot, and he began sounding more tired. He mentioned in an interview that he intentionally held back on the distortion on the last album, because it sounded more natural, and then he took a singing hiatus for a while in 2019 when live singing really started to take its toll. It's probably a combination of stylistically getting a bit less heavy as a band, and trying to preserve his voice now that he's having to manage it more carefully than before. His voice sounds like it's recovered ok since coming back, but I don't think the agility from his prime is going to be quite what it was, and it sounds like he's having to hold back more than he used to.

"A5 ( "Bat Country" Live Warped Tour 2005" theres an extra space there "Beast And The Harlot" Live Warped Tour 2006" Almost certainly this was 2005, pretty sure they never played warped tour in 2006. Not even sure if there was a warped tour that year. that track was part of a release of one of the first singles on city of evil, makes sense that it would be 2005. he sang a few lines of strength beyond strength during unholy confessions in cologne 2010. there's a B4 there, don't know if you want to credit that.

I put together a proper isolated version of the Danger Line E5 (using the instrumental track inverted), see attached: dangerline.mp3 (289.31 KB) Also this C5 at the end of Second Heartbeat live is really good (not at the same part as the current bold one): www.youtube.com/watch?v=2nxb0tEGank#t=6m39s

Good job :) you might be able to bold those "Sandpaper" E2s. He hits them a few times in a row, and the tone is quite thicc Where are the E2’s? (Sorry that i’m so late)

(Sorry that i’m so late) Same passage as the bolded G2s. With hindsight, the G2s are the more impressive notes in that line, so the E2s are no longer bolded.

Btw, can you hear the e2’s in god only knows? I don’t think i hear him. At the 1:00 mark, a backing vocal an octave below the lead. On the line "God only knows what I'd be with you", there's a melisma down to E2 on the word "you". It's quite quietly mixed, so you might need bassy headphones to hear it. But it's definitely there.

It’s just that I hear the backing vocals before the low notes but not the low note.

The E2 is defnitely there I might unbold it due to how quiet it is but It’s there If that is bolded then maybe you should bold nightmare f2’s too because in the isolated vocal track the f2’s are quite strong and has pretty good sound. They are also a little louder in the mix than god only knows.

The "Sunny Disposition" D2 is grumbly, but there's still some larynx action making the note happen.

New Avenged Sevenfold song. A4 in the verses and chorus, B♭4 in the pre-chorus, background D3 in the verses.
There is also a C2 (I think?) at 2:32 and at 4:05, but I don't know if it's him that's doing that... It also sounds pitch-shifted and is most likely not countable anyways.
