Alright folks, let's get this show on the road. {Best Vocal Duet - Ayunga}
Timestamp (3:15) to 4:37. Ayunga uses a wide, expressive palette of vocal colours in this clip, starting with a soft solo verse that demonstrates his control with softer singing from F#3 - G4. The key moves up a tone, and Ayunga more than rises to the challenge, carrying a dramatic belted line up to A4 while playing nicely off partner Tanya Chua's harmony. The clip ends with a triumphant sustained A4 - a great example of his operatic technique. In short, he cycles through a broad range of colours in this clip and displays strength from mid to high range, in harmony and solo, to create an immensely satisfying vocal duet. {Best A Cappella Singing - Fei Yu-Ching}
Timestamp (3:21) to end. Fei Yu-Ching joins the winners of a Chinese singing competition in an a cappella medley. One thing that quickly becomes apparent is his control; Fei remains in total control of his voice and dynamics, no matter how low or high (this clip spans E3-A4). Never does a low note sound too quiet, nor a loud one overpowering, sung throughout in a consistent and pleasant tone. Another great example of his control comes with the final note; he holds the final C4 at a comfortable, regular volume initially, before gradually growing quieter over ~10 seconds before the note becomes non-existent. With exceptional control across his range, pleasant tone and a well-arranged a cappella ensemble, this clip is a well-rounded a cappella showcase.
