Howdy hey. {Best Live Performance} THIS CLIP (whole thing) by Maureen McGovern singing "Little Jazz Bird". Initially some very lovely smooth jazz singing, but she soon ups the ante with some very impressive sixth octave scatting, a key change and some solid chesty singing before ending the performance with a two octave climb to F6! {Best Studio Performance} THIS CLIP (1:44 - end) by Cher singing "Just This One Time". Cher's ultimate meme - the one performance where she hits sixth octave notes and one that spans almost three octaves. Beneath the meme, though, there's some lovely dynamics and wonderful singing across Cher's range. {Free Choice} THIS CLIP (0:27 - end) from Yma Sumac singing "Malambo No. 1". I didn't realise until recently that this song saw some resurgence because of RuPaul's Drag Race, but it is honestly a swell compilation of everything Yma does well. The growl-y singing, the lower notes, the staccato highs and the sustained ones.

{Billly Joel lives}
1:32 to 3:54 and then 5:04 to 5:46. The better song about New York
{Studious Jonathan Manchild }
1:18 to 3:18 and then 3:30 to 4:34. Lows, highs, mids, grit, and falsetto what more could you ask for
{Ben is free falling falling and he’s free falling }
Whole ass thing. For some reason my free choice tends to be a mix of harmony and a capella. Last year it was Rhett and Link doing a barbershop quartet style thing and now it’s Ben folds doing youtube a capella before it was cool. But yeah just try and think of this as harmony and a capella I guess
