I don't have a good example, but what are some classic instances of vocalists smoothly transitioning between very far-apart notes?
It doesn't have to be up; it could be a really abrupt turn down.

There's Paul McCartney with the E3 - G4 jump in Eleanor Rigby as well as this from Gary Barlow, which has to be up there as one of the best transitions there is. I wanted to save this for the thread but I can't wait.
