- Music personalities who will forever be some of the most famous within the world of music, but haven't ended up as one of the all-time ultimate celebrities overall.
B Tier
- Music personalities who are established in pop culture, but someone a bit out of touch may not be familiar with them.
- Music personalities who were once at the forefront of pop culture, but are associated only with their particular heyday.
- Music personalities from somewhat more niche/alternative circles who have managed to transcend them, into a kind of mainstream popularity.
C Tier
- Music personalities who were once established in pop culture, but are associated only their particular heyday, and even then weren't truly stealing the show.
- Music personalities who are leaders and trailblazers in somewhat more niche/alternative circles.
D Tier
- Peripheral figures of pop culture, known only to real scholars of the mainstream (session musicians/producers etc. for stars, with no limelight of their own).
- Music personalities who are established in somewhat more niche/alternative circles, but you'd have to be part of that community to know about them.
- Music personalities who are leaders and trailblazers of circles down deep, dark rabbit holes.
E Tier
