Devin Garrett Townsend (05.05.1972 - 24.04.2023) Sad that he's leaving us tomorrow, RIP to a metal legend. Seriously though, how did that even get there?

Seriously though, how did that even get there? And how is it still there after all the comments about it?

Devin Garrett Townsend (05.05.1972 - 24.05.2023) The death date has been changed to next month. You're just wanting him to die at this point :whistling:

Oh hey I was at that show. Sound went out during Dream Theater's set, it was awesome. Yeah, Labrie sounded terrible the whole time.

Devy fan here. From what I've listened, his highest "normal singing" note is in the song "Star Child Rise". Higher notes than that are either his trademark high rough screams from Strapping Young Lad or "whistle" tones from early 1990's with Steve Vai. And the lowest note is in "Thing" from his Casualties Of Cool project.

It would only take a quick look at the front page to see the accuracy of that assessment. Welcome to the board!

G5 ("The Mighty Masturbator") I'm honoured that Devin Townsend would name a song after me.

At some point I realized his highest clean singing (i.e., not screeching and not "whistle") is actually from his glorious SYL live performance of Judas Priest's "Exciter". But other than that, after listening through his albums countless times over the past 15 years, I have not heard a lower proper singing voice by him than in "Thing".

There's a pretty clean-sounding A5 in the song Consequence.
