{Vocal Summary}Abigail Morris is the lead vocalist of the relatively new, highly acclaimed and successful rock band The Last Dinner Party. With a sound harkening to retro glam and baroque (as well as more modern alternative stylings), Abigail provides the music with potent, dynamic vocals that powerfully convey everything from the softly sentimental to the fierce and loud. Her tone is naturally somewhat dark and heavy, although her placement is not particularly low (high mezzo maybe?). During her heavier sounding moments, combined with her commanding delivery ("Burn Alive", "Caesar on a TV Screen"), she sounds like a fusion between Siouxsie Sioux and Marina Diamandis. She utilizes a decent balance of softer and brighter vocals as well, with a lovely pristine quality in her falsetto and soft mixed register (the climax to "Beautiful Boy" is an excellent display of such). While Abigail uses her upper register more consistently, her lower register shows some potential, based on most of "Caesar on a TV Screen" (particularly around F♯3). All in all, Abigail's voice is a great combination of a rich, bombastic tone, a glowing mezza voice and a slight flair for the theatrical. She's also a captivating, charismatic presence on the stage, which certainly helps as well.
