Freddie Mercury's D5 in The Show Must Go On is my pick for the greatest note ever: beautiful tone, killer vocal line (a B4, then a C#5 and finally the D5, all in full voice), effortless, but, the most important, such a deep emotion in that youtu.be/t99KH0TR-J4?t=203Another pick would be the monstrous A5 from In The Lap Of The Gods by Roger Taylor youtu.be/IeBc-c1Yang?t=5

Glenn Miller's G1 in "Do Not Reject me in my Old Age" Here's another Basso Profundo, John Ames. He sings mostly in the second octave but he sings his low notes with such power and resonance. His D#2 at about 1:03 is awesome, and much louder than one would think. I can sing that (Old Man River transposed down two semitones) but the difference in quality would be very noticeable.

Here's the cream of C2s : He sings down to F2 here. In general, great singing with spot-on notes and not too much vibrato unlike some of the other opera stars. www.youtube.com/watch?v=idRaewjEHM0

Here's the cream of C2s : Just found this gem, where an older Paul Robeson sings Old Man River transposed down to C#2, 4 lower than the original from Showboat. He called himself a baritone but it's pretty clear that he's a natural low bass. It's just that he never sang below C2.

I guess if we're being serious... While we’re on the topic of Tony Bennett, I would like to nominate this note as well.

youtu.be/88N_6Ifp9UE?t=222I am yet to come across anything that has genuinely shaken me to my core as much as this. Particularly 3:59-4:26. By the time the G5's hit it was over for me.
