i really don't see why i should add any of those notes to the thread considering the original song already covers them That's fair; apologies if I came across a bit aggressively, I didn't mean for it to come out like that. jaredletoisbackagain I admittedly forgot to consider that, whoops.

Don't think you have anything to apologise for. And I'm just offering my take, not a truth. You can still find it impressive obviously.

I think that's just an artifact, I can't hear any other backing vocals in that passage

TOP 10 STUDIO PERFORMANCES OF MAYNARD JAMES KEENAN (my personal take)
1. The Pot 2. Bottom 3. Pushit 4. 3 Libras 5. Hush 6. No Quarter 7. Jerk-Off 8. Third Eye 9. The Grudge 10. Eulogy
[hon. mention to "Rosetta Stoned" for the immense vocal creativity on display]
Appreciate the help of the couple cool cats who participated in the considerations in our secret vocal range freemasons headquarter

Possibly, possibly! Perhaps in the place of "Jerk-Off" since that one is a live performance, isn't it? In retrospective, I'd put that in his yet-to-be-created live top 10 instead and make way for one of those, most likely "Judith". Speaking of Maynard's greatest live vocal moments, this one would be near the top of his list: The way he casually nails everything including that beautiful scream while looking like a sleep demon is mesmerising, what a great great voice. Everyone rightfully appreciates the great tonal qualities and and the power of Maynard's voice but he is also stellar from a purely technical standpoint, the consistency of his high note control is impressive. Love the way he nails everything during this studio live set:
