A revival of Shaman's old thread. Basically, list covers you'd want to hear from certain singers, regardless of if they're possible or not (because the singer is dead, or their voice isn't what it once was)

A few that come to mind for me:
- Corey Glover singing "Cemetery Gates" (Pantera). I think his mid-range tone would work very well in the softer sections of the song, and he'd probably nail the ending screams. Don't think he'd be able to match the original gritty parts but personally, I think Phil's singing in the more intense section is a bit too gritty for my tastes, so a less harsh approach would sound good.

- '80s Geddy Lee singing "Land of Confusion" (Genesis). The song's style reminds me somewhat of Power Windows-era Rush (think "Mystic Rhythms") and I think he'd be able to hit the Bb4s very well.

- Strange Highways era Ronnie James Dio singing "You Know You're Right" by Nirvana. The style reminds me a lot of something on that album (it helps that it includes the word "Pain" a lot, which is the title of a song) and I think his harsh/angry delivery in that era would work well.

Could be interesting. So far I haven't heard a Cemetery Gates cover that I really liked

- Prime-era Paul McCartney singing "Sunny Afternoon" by the Kinks. It sounds very similar to some of Paul's more music-hall influenced stuff, so I think he could pull it off well.
- Prime-era Rob Halford singing "Gethsemane" from Jesus Christ Superstar, if only for the chance for him to slay that G5. 
- A bit more of an out-there choice, but prime-era Ronnie James Dio singing "Living for the City" by Stevie Wonder. The Bb4-C#5 area belts throughout the song would be right in his wheelhouse, and he'd probably do a great job switching from the cleaner highs in the opening verses to the grittier stuff at the end.

I would love to hear Lil Wayne changed his vocal placement and sing some classic R&B, his vocals(rapping and singing) are almost always placed right in the nasal and while it does make vocals instantly recognizable, to hear him use some classic songs to show off side and sound that isn't the typical Lil Wayne sound would be amazing. that said, I don't see him doing this anytime soon
