Although Melissa Cross has declared that Matt is a baritone, he has all the characteristics of a tenor. In the past he has had vocal problems due to tonsillectomy that led him to certain vocal difficulties later. Because of that, the band had to hire someone to scream to help him, something that can be seen that makes his task much easier and helps him to get along more easily.
