{Vocal Summary}
Sacramento native, Ryan Clark has been renowned as one of the most intelligent figures in Christian metal and hardcore even garnering respect even from the non-Christian crowd. His works has been described as profound and deep as his works in his most well-known band Demon Hunter has had a lot of success and fandom around the world as anthems to fight for a better tomorrow and to keep the faith strong. His voice has been said as a baritone with moments of vulnerability and power behind it and even been joked around as an example of showing that even Christian metal can sound “badass” and “macho”. His singing is very melodic and well-calculated, with a dark mood when singing in his low register as well singing with a lot of power in his high register being able to sing the fourth octave completely. His highs in particular, are sung with urgency and emotion behind it that he sounds as if he is making a statement in the midst of a battle. His screaming is also very well-known as one of a kind, described as being frantic in an almost rap-like flow and his unclean vocals sound similar to the caws of a crow mostly being mid-range to high shrieks, the latter being used especially when the lyrics are meant to convey the breaking point of the supposed character reflected in the song. Clark has been seen as a modern renaissance man in the Christian scene and it seems nothing seems to stop him.
