As lead vocalist for Melbourne post-hardcore-turned-retro prog act Closure in Moscow, Chris de Cinque has become known for his powerful high notes and eccentric, often tongue-in-cheek lyrical and performance style. A stereotypical "whiny" and lowphobic post-hardcore tenor in the band's early days, his style quickly evolved with their sound, combining his easy mixed-voice highs into the fifth octave with grittier screams, falsetto flips, and a surprisingly decent-sounding lower register. One of the more unique and quirky voices in modern prog.
