Ryan Hayes
Associated Acts: Righteous Vendetta (2008-present)
Vocal Range: G♯1-F♯5 (3 octaves, 10 notes)
Vocal Type: Not Dead Yet Tenor
{Vocal Summary}
A passionate attitude for music makes a singer more beloved by many. Montana resident, Ryan Hayes of the metalcore/alternative rocking band Righteous Vendetta has had a decent following due to the immense skill he has as a vocalist. He is a tenor with a lot of strong control of his texture, mood and vibrato making him indeed a man meant to be a frontman of a band. In the early days of RV, especially in the first two albums, the band was mostly a metalcore band with Hayes mostly doing the standard mid-range screaming, death growls and occasional pig squeals while also doubling as the melodic singer in the chorus. It was until The Fire Inside where Hayes and his band went more of the alternative metal and post-hardcore approach where he began to sing more almost sounding in the vein of people like Benjamin Burnley, and the late Chester Bennington. His delivering is fierce for the most part and even has a rap-like flow in his songs but also knows when to slow it down and bring the passion of the music. He sings pretty high with various textures of sounding gritty and then sounding clear being able to sing the mid fifth octave while his lower range is also strong with him mostly singing strong on the mid second octave while lower notes are usually spoken or given the “attitude” to convey a sense of impending lashing out. Hayes is definitely a very talented and passionate singer, and it seems that his ambitions will lead to more strong performances coming soon.
