Summary: Finneas (stylised in all upercase, as FINNEAS) is a singer, songwriter, producer who first started his career as an actor in the series Glee. He wrote and produced songs with and for his sister, the singer Billie Eilish, and is even harmonising on some of the tracks they made, but he has established himself in modern pop music with his own songs. He has a significant sound and a distinctive voice, going from rich and sultry lows to piercing high notes. Finneas has released several songs between 2016 and 2019, before putting out an EP, Blood Harmony, and his voice kept getting better and better. If his high notes could sometimes sound scratchy in the beginning, he improved his technique and the highest notes are now well-executed, and sound warm and pleasant. While he was working on the beautiful falsetto that he now possesses, he never stopped delivering gorgeous low notes with a spectacular ease. The track Angel is to this day his most impressive song vocally, as it has some crazy high notes, including raspy and thrilling belts, as well as breathtaking low notes.

There's quite a lot of overinclusion here, most songs don't need any more than maybe five inclusions (provided that's a mix of low notes and high notes), a lot of the songs you've listed here have seven or eight significant notes, or if they have less they're all low or high.

Well yeah, I tend to include a lot of notes sometimes, I might change that in the future when he'll have more stuff out. But I don't include seven or eight significant notes for no reason. To show you how complicated it was to make decisions, I could've included more notes, some of his songs have so much substance, but I knew that seven was already a lot. I usually stop at 5 but if I find more significant notes that should be notewatched, I include them in the thread. And what am I supposed to do if a song only has significant high or low notes? I can only include these notes, I'm not going to add imaginary notes just so that each song has high and low notes.

The thing is if you tend to include this many notes this frequently then your threads probably aren't up to the same standard as everyone else's. Unless it's a Mariah Carey's "Emotions" kind of song, five is usually the most you need to include per song.

And when I mentioned songs having only significant highs or lows, that's okay obviously, but you don't need to have too many of those highs or lows. You've included five significant high notes for "College", four of which are falsetto and three of which are backing falsetto notes. You could quite easily trim this down to three (highest non-falsetto note, highest lead falsetto note and highest harmony falsetto note), because including any more just unnecessarily inflates the thread.

It doesn't matter if the thread is small, it's better it be accurate and concise than unnecessarily inflated and repetitive :thumb:
