Lead singer of 2000s hard rock band Red Sun Rising. I was originally drawn to them after hearing "Amnesia" and "Emotionless" on the radio, particularly because I found myself greatly enjoying the vocals on them, and I'm very glad that I decided to further explore them, because Protich truly has a fantastic voice. His tone reminds me a bit of a cross between Tim McIlrath from Rise Against and Andrew Mailloux from Rishloo - very handsome and regal sounding, and he controls it in a way that basically manages to make him sound fantastic in any part of his range that he uses, it seems. Red Sun Rising's cover of Alanis Morisette's "Uninvited" showcases this well, for instance.

Red Sun Rising started in 2007, and released their first few albums and EPs in the early 2010s, but didn't release anything under a major label 2015's Polyester Zeal. This album, along with 2018's Thread are what they are best known for, but their early independent albums are quite good and display some very impressive vocals as well. Unfortunately, because they were less widely distributed, finding them on the internet has proven to be a bit of a challenge at times. I've been able to check most of the songs from them on YouTube, but so far I haven't been able to trace the songs "What You Are to Me" or "Bird's Eye View", so if anyone has sources for those please let me know!
