{Description}Hannes Norivde is the lead vocalist/keyboardist of retro styled synthpop act Lust For Youth. Vocally, he's is a standard untrained synthpop/post punk baritone with a deadpan delivery and semi-nasal, heavy tone, though songs like “Adrift” and “Better Looking Brother” feature him emoting somewhat more (though even when he’s shouting in songs like “O.S.K.” and “Ecstacy” it sounds more like just loud talking). His pre-International vocals mostly consisted of semi-melodic rambling or repetition of phrases obscured by the low volume at which his vocals were mixed. Once Lust For Youth reached International, his vocals became more audible and tuneful. Norrvide doesn’t really show off when he performs: he just sings his parts plainly and clearly in his vocal comfort zone. He’s shown some evolution as a singer across his albums, having more prominent and dynamic vocal parts as well as displaying more of his competent sounding lower register (songs such as "Great Concerns" and “By No Means” show potential in that area of his voice). While their albums contain many songs that are either instrumentals or sung/spoken by guests vocalists, their latest record (excluding one song) gave a bigger focus to Norrvide's voice, further proving that he's grown more comfortable as a singer.
Yeah, being totally honest, I just wanted to make a thread for possibly the least range-y singer I could find. Still, if you like synthpop/new wave, check Lust For Youth out, they're pretty good imo
