In essence, this is a thread for singers who might not be exceptionally flamboyant, flashy or range-y, but have tones that just make your heart melt. Could be quite literal mythological sirens.

Nice! I might have been low-key anticipating this thread because the traits that make for a "beautiful singing voice" are a matter of preference. The first names I can easily think of are Karen Carpenter, Mariah Carey, and ~~perhaps~~ Elton John; but I'd also like to take this opportunity to share some of my other favorite singers here.

Probably one of the most celebrated figures in indie music and definitely one of the gentlest male voices in recent years:

My current obsession ("Titanic Rising" is my favourite 2019 album) - her tone a lovely mix of Joni Mitchell and Nico while her phrasing seemingly inspired by Karen Carpenter:

For some reason I was thinking of Maddy Prior in this context a few nights ago. But the first one to come to mind for me should be Astrud Gilberto, famous for the 1964 hit recording of "The Girl from Ipanema", with that beautiful gentle accent.
