This is clem v Tara in Round Four of the Clip-Off. You have five days to submit your clips, and until 23:00 GMT Time Thursday, July 9 to vote. July 10 is the Results Day. For this round, you have to use all your singers! The categories for Round Four are: 1. Best High Singing: A performance that places particular importance on singing high notes. Relative to the singer. The clip doesn't have to be exclusively high singing but the more high notes are utilised and the higher they are (relative to the singer), the more appropriate it is for the category. 2. Best Low Singing: A performance that places particular importance on singing low notes. Relative to the singer. The clip doesn't have to be exclusively low singing but the more low notes are utilised and the lower they are (relative to the singer), the more appropriate it is for the category. 3. Best Usage of Mid-Range: Singing that's made interesting despite (or perhaps because of) not placing particular importance on either high or low notes. There are no concrete thresholds to mid-range, but your best bet is to try and gauge whether the singing sounds mid-rangy. The pair are free to post their clips, voting commences as soon as they have. Vote here. Current Vote Count: 6

{High singing} The video on the band's YouTube channel seems to be unavailable in the UK, so I put a spare one underneath. This is Jenna McDougall. The time is 1:54 to 3:28. The post-chorus is not very high, but I feel that this helps to build tension and make the end of the song more surprising and exciting. The highest note is F5.
{Low singing} I realise that it is probably up against something that goes over an octave lower, but here is what I believe to be Patrick Stump's most extended use of low range in the main melody of a song. The G2s are the lowest notes he hit before age 24, which impresses me because he was only 20 at the time of recording this. The time is 0:10 to 0:54. I feel that this is also one of his best emotive performances and the trembles in his voice nicely express the hopelessness of the lyrics.
{Mid-range} This is Darren Criss performing a surprisingly sombre rendition of Katy Perry's Teenage Dream. The time is 1:54 to 3:34. The range is D3 to F♯4, with a quick falsetto A4. This take on the song probably seems odd if you have not seen Glee, so the plot context was that Darren's character Blaine was performing a normal upbeat version of the song with his choir when he met his significant other, Kurt. After two years, Kurt had to move away, and Blaine performed this to Kurt when he came to visit. The performance devolves from a romantic dedication to something rather tense and disquieting, and then Blaine finally confesses that he was unfaithful after Kurt went away.

{best high singing - ronnie radke}A bit of everything from "Popular Monster", going smoothly between some well-controlled harsh vocals, belts up to the top of the fourth octave, and a dash of falsetto. 1:53-3:43 (you can skip 2:35-3:05 though)
{best low singing - alexi laiho}Alexi doing his best Marilyn Manson mix-fry, with creepy sung-spoken melodies centred around C2 and Bb1. 0:16-1:08
{best mid-range singing - george formby}George's signature jam. Pretty much an entire song in his mid-range, complete with some scat singing over some mighty complex strumming patterns. 1:46-3:22

This match-up has been changed to clem v Tara due to both BAZanine and RINGO dropping out of the competition. The clem v BAZanine match-up is now obsolete. Direct your votes to the updated form in the OP.
