On The Silent Wings of Freedom ( Tormato) * - The LP version, not the film version. Steve Howe is the incredibly versatile guitarist most famous for playing with Yes for most of their career. Howe is revered for his electric guitar playing as well as his acoustic playing, incorporating styles like classical, flamenco, jazz, country, blues, rockabilly, and avant-garde into his guitar parts, helping to give Yes their eclectic sound. In addition to Yes, Howe has been a member of beat group The Syndicats, psychedelic band Tomorrow, progressive pop supergroup Asia, the project GTR with Steve Hackett, and Yes-offshoot Anderson Bruford Wakeman & Howe (which sounds like a very white law firm). Howe has also a few solo albums that are supposed to be worth checking out, so I’ll have a listen to them and see if there are any tracks with particularly impressive guitar parts on there (which, knowing Howe, there probably will be, lol).
