Vocal Type: Undercover Tenor
Vocal Range: B♭2 - B♭5
{Description/Vocal Summary}Alex Trimble is the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the Irish indie rock band Two Door Cinema Club, founded in 2007.
His upper registers are comfortable all the way up to the note of A4, with only occasional singing in this register above said pitch. Most of his high notes possess a relaxed, light, and bright sort of tone to them by utilizing his well connected mixed voice, but he has also been seen to be able to belt with a ferocity typically heard of in heavier forms of rock, as can be heard in the song Gameshow, though his vocal control does suffer when using this kind of singing, most likely due to a lack of practice and comfort in his belting.
His falsetto register has been demonstrated to be quite extensive, making up the bulk of his upper singing voice; however, before the album Gameshow, his falsetto had never reached higher than C♯5, either due to a lack of comfort as with his belting, or never finding a necessity to sing above that pitch. His control is relatively decent in his falsetto register, albeit by using a technique that sounds uncomfortable, as well as creates a tone that can be polarizing for listeners.
His lower register is relatively underused, typically staying above the pitch of G3 when singing, but he has demonstrated resonant low notes below that pitch on occasion, as low as B♭2; this may either be due to a stylistic decision, or a lack of comfort in this area much like the other registers.
Overall, while he isn't the most technically proficient singer, he still has a voice that is captivating to listen to because of his unique style and tone.
