Drowning Pool's original and by far most distinct vocalist. Williams' gritty tenor voice was quite a change from most of the vocalists in the early 2000s nu metal era, possessing a husky rasp distinct from the pseudo macho posturing that more infamously defined the era, often used to it's best effect while belting powerful fourth octave notes in a fairly tasteful fashion. His penchant for powerful false chord style screaming is also quite notable (a feature no doubt fairly noticeable to anyone who's been on the internet in the last decade who's been exposed to the meme videos featuring "Bodies"), able to consistently deliver them to maximum aggressive effect, a mainstay of the band's music even afterward. Sadly, just over a year after the band released their debut, Williams died of a heart attack while the band was touring on Ozzfest, a shame as he showed the potential to evolve to be quite a mainstay of the heavy rock world.
