Irish indie singer-songwriter Lisa Hannigan possesses one of the most pleasant tones I've ever heard. She began her solo career in the late '00s - she was initially a backing singer for Damien Rice, though her tender vocal performances were noticeable even on his tracks like "Cold Water". Lisa's tone is a very light, soft one, though her voice is in fact lower than you'd initially assume, as her lower register is surprisingly confident down even in the lower third octave. Her upper register is absolutely angelic - she's not a powerful singer, singing mostly in her gorgeously soft head voice, which extends beautifully up to C6.
