Listening to "Everybody Loves You", I'd say the backing A2 sounds pretty natural to me, but I could believe it being someone else's voice, especially considering that the album credits list Chris Rainbow for backing vocals on that track.

With that said, what do we make of this C3 from the same song?

I'm not sure. It sounds legit, but i'm not sure if it's him, especially considering Chris Rainbow also does backing vocals on that song.

I'm definitely inclined to believe that the A2s in the intro and outro are Chris Rainbow, since they sound deeper and more dramatic than I've ever heard Anderson sound. But the C3s sound pretty believable as Anderson's voice to me - you can also judge by comparing the tone of the D4 that that harmony line starts on.

I'd like to see what more people think, but I already showed it to KeithMoonIsGod (who knows Anderson's voice quite well) and he agreed that it sounds like him, for what it's worth.

That's a very ambiguously mixed passage. It's hard to properly identify any one person's vocal timbre in that bit so it seems like a spoiler note to me at least.

I'll see if I can get it isolated to make the backing vocals more clear then. They're panned to the right side, so it might be possible.

Personally I think y'all are reading into the fact that there's another person credited for backing vocals a little bit too much though, if we already have a clear pointer of where that person was probably featured. Try listening to the beginning of that passage (while it's still in more of a mid register) more closely and you might recognize Anderson's tone on the fourth octave notes it starts on.

It's not just that there's another backing vocalist credited, it's that there's clearly (I think) two people singing in that part, and while Jon clearly starts, i'm not sure if he makes it down to the C3.

Well here's that harmony more isolated anyway for further reviewing purposes. It's very reverb-y and muddy, but you can at least hear the lower harmony separate from the others.

Sounds believable as the same voice hitting the C♯3 in "The Ancient" to me.

Multiple F3s through first verses of the song and E3 on previous timestamp, he lent his angelic and warm voice to accompanying second side from Lizard album by King Crimson.

EDIT: E3 note maybe is more appreciable at 2:53
