Jemaine Clement
Known As: Jemaine, Hiphopopotamus, Mad Dog
Associated Acts: Flight of the Conchords
Vocal Range: A1 - G♯5
{Vocal Summary}Jemaine Clement is most known as a part of "Flight of the Conchords", a musical duo containing Jemaine and his good mate Bret McKenzie. The two have achieved quite a bit as a comedy folk duo from New Zealand, gaining a worldwide cult following, as well as a successful TV show on HBO. Bret and Jemaine eventually became popular enough to make appearances in mainstream media. Jemaine most notably has had musical roles in "Rick and Morty", and the Disney film "Moana".
Jemaine is a lower placed singer, proven by the ease and warmth he displays singing at the bottom of the 2nd octave, his occasional dips into the 1st octave, as well as his lack of 4th octave belts. It's definitely worth noting that Jemaine's singing contrasts quite nicely with Bret McKenzie's much lighter and higher placed voice, amplifying their chemistry even further. He also does a killer David Bowie impression.
