Derrick Green is most known for being the lead singer and part time percussionist of Sepultura since 1997. Most known for his abrasive hardcore shouting, he also has a husky clean singing voice that is capable of adding an extra layer of melody to Sepultura's music when it is used. Beyond that he has a very deep and powerful low register that he puts to good use both in more staccato style passages (such as in Border Wars or Uma Cura) and also in melodic passages (such as in As It Is or Bottomed Out). A very powerful voice overall.
