Meg Myers' vocal approach is a coalition of vintage and modern indie sounds. The raw, confessional tone she goes for sometimes calls to mind names like Fiona Apple and Alanis Morrissette, while her "millenial pop angst yell" makes me think a bit of Hayley Williams on occasion. Having said this, she melds these disparate elements into her own voice quite effectively, with the tonal mix of polished indie pop and punk-fueled intensity reigning supreme in both her vocals and songwriting.
