As the guitarist and singer for German thrash titans Kreator, Mille Petrozza has proven to be one of the most enduring and influential frontmen in the world of extreme metal. Beginning his career using an early example of harsh vocals, Mille continued to hone and develop his shouting vocal style to new heights in intensity and tone. Around the mid 90s he began to find a more controlled approach that allowed him to sing actual melodies with his signature shouting style, in addition to introducing a prominent gothic low range. Yes indeed, it could be said that Mille is a rare thrash singer who actually uses his 2nd octave capabilities for actual melody lines a few times per album instead of just talky bits like most. He continued to develop both ends of his voice in the 21st century, arguably at his peak right now as his ridiculous C5 range belting endurance continues to display.
