Denaun Montez Porter (12.7.1974)
Also Known As: Denaun, dEnAuN, Kon Artis, Mr Porter
Associated Acts: D12, Eminem, Various other rappers
Vocal Range: E2 - B♭5
Voice Type: Tenor
{Vocal Summary}Out of all the members of D12, Denaun Porter (AKA Kon Artis) is very likely the most technically proficient singer in the group. Born In Detroit, Mr. Porter continued to own his craft after D12, where he mostly shined as a rapper with a couple of singing bits that showcased what his vocal abilities can do(such as the G5 in "Blow My Buzz"). After D12 disbanded, he continued to make and produce music, releasing a couple of EPs of his own that were mainly R&B and rap styled. His high register is the strongest part of his voice, with him frequently rapping and belting upper 4th octave notes, sometimes reaching the lower 5th octave (such as in "Ain't Nuttin' But Music" and "Bitch"). His mixed voice, while rarely used, is pretty good, with his best showcase of it being "Blow My Buzz" with D12. His lows are pretty average for a tenor, sounding comfortable in the E♭3 -A2 area and seldom going lower than A2. However, he did manage to get down to some dark backing F♯2s in "I'll Be Damned", "This Corner" and "Told Y'all". We have yet to see Mr. Porter's full potential, but he still has many years of musical projects awaiting and we can't wait to see what the future has in store for him. written by Smitty. and Seb
