Most known to the average person as one of the key songwriters, bassist, and male vocalist of Nightwish, Marco Hietala has actually had a 30 year long career in quality metal music. Starting his still-going heavy metal band Tarot in 1985, Marco's passionate and flexible tenor voice has been a consistent highlight of all the music he's participated in throughout his career. He has masterful control over vocal grit, highs, and smooth clean singing. In contrast to some of his peers though, he also has a well used and strong lower register that showcases the warmth his voice can carry as well.
