The categories for Round One are:
1. Best A Cappella Singing: Singing without instrumental accompaniment. The singer can be accompanied by other voices, however.
2. Best Vocal Duet: Two lead singers singing either in harmony, unison or taking turns.

{Best Vocal Duet - Serj Tankian}
(1:26 - 2:30 and 2:55 - 3:33) One of System of a Down's biggest selling points as a band has always been (or at least since 2001) Serj Tankian and Daron Malakian's vocal chemistry. In this example, Serj's relaxed mid-range nicely contrasts Daron's urgent belting. When they sing together, it drives home how well they're voices match up, and showcases their exceptional melodic sensibilities.

{Best A Cappella Singing - Jack Black}
(1:02 - 2:04) Often overlooked in vocalist discussion due to his over-the-top comedic style, Jack Black is quite seriously an incredible singer. In this example, Black has his charisma and showmanship on display, with impressive vocal control and theatrics. Enjoy the entertainment.

David Essex with Twiggy - Send In The Clowns. I'm guessing the vocals were pre-recorded and they're not actually sitting with their backs to each other singing while wiping make-up from their faces An elegant performance including solo lines, harmonies and a beautifully soft sustained note at the end.
