This is Gilad v 'S in Round Four of the Clip-Off. You have five days to submit your clips, and until 23:00 BST Time November 8 to vote. November 9 is the Results Day. The categories for this round are: 1. Best High Singing: A performance that places particular importance on singing high notes. The clip doesn't have to be exclusively high singing but the more high notes are utilized and the higher they are (relative to the singer), the more appropriate it is for the category. 2. Best Low Singing: A performance that places particular importance on singing low notes. The clip doesn't have to be exclusively low singing but the more low notes are utilised and the lower they are (relative to the singer), the more appropriate it is for the category. 3. Best Usage of Mid-Range: Singing that's made interesting despite (or perhaps because of) not placing particular importance on either high or low notes. There are no concrete thresholds to mid-range, but your best bet is to try and gauge whether the singing sounds mid-rangy. The teams are free to post their clips, voting commences as soon as they have. Vote here. Current Vote Count: 1

{Best High Singing - Ryan Tedder} (1:24 - 2:53) In this performance of OneRepublic's Somebody to Love (no, not the Queen song), Tedder shows off some easy A4s and a smooth as hell F#5. But the most impressive part of this clip has to be the belted D5s that were originally sung in falsetto on the studio version of the song. One of Ryan's best vocal performances for sure. {Best Low Singing - Jack Black} (0:10 - 1:33) Before this song was released, Jack Black's lower second octave singing was extremely rare and rather unimpressive, so it came as a massive surprise to me when he hit us with this performance which contains very strong singing all the way down to C2, with the melody mostly centering around G2. Even with my high opinion of him, this song cemented JB's vocal versatility for me even more. {Best Usage of Mid Range - Serj Tankian} (0:15 - 2:04) It was a bit hard to pick a clip for Serj here, since a lot of his songs have very sudden jumps in range. I was considering using a more recent clip, where Serj sings with a more traditional technique, but I felt System of a Down's first ballad "Spiders" pulled me in the most with its haunting vocal performance. Spanning C3 to F4, Serj sings with less regular technique and opts for this rough and intense approach that really intrigues.
