This is themriron2 v SailorBlue in Round Four of the Clip-Off. You have five days to submit your clips, and until 23:00 BST Time November 8 to vote. November 9 is the Results Day. The categories for this round are: 1. Best High Singing: A performance that places particular importance on singing high notes. The clip doesn't have to be exclusively high singing but the more high notes are utilized and the higher they are (relative to the singer), the more appropriate it is for the category. 2. Best Low Singing: A performance that places particular importance on singing low notes. The clip doesn't have to be exclusively low singing but the more low notes are utilised and the lower they are (relative to the singer), the more appropriate it is for the category. 3. Best Usage of Mid-Range: Singing that's made interesting despite (or perhaps because of) not placing particular importance on either high or low notes. There are no concrete thresholds to mid-range, but your best bet is to try and gauge whether the singing sounds mid-rangy. The teams are free to post their clips, voting commences as soon as they have. Vote here. Current Vote Count: 1

Best High Singing: Tea Paine. 0:29 to 2:29. Yeah pleb pick I know I know and yes I know I'm milking a whole 2 minutes. But hear me out. T-Pain with no autotune, range wanking the Star Spangled Banner. You do the math. A4s throughout, hella thicc and sustained B♭4, and some falsetto up to C5. Enjoy.
Best Mid Singing: Chicken Nugget. 0:07 to 1:41. You know, when look for a clip for this category, I often wondered, "What would a 5/5 mid range clip even sound like?" After searching for literal days I finally found what it means to have the perfect mid range. When I first heard the clip, I was transcended into the pure fabric of nature. The wispy winds of the life that is breathed into the living husks that we ourselves call bodies. I felt the quantum fluidity of the universe course into my blood vessels and I relayed the quizzical nature of the underlying condition of society before my very eyes. The little emotions became the main anchor of my connection to the corporeal world. I was a baby once more. Floating through space like a monolithic stone floating through the metaphorical core of the metaphysical. At that moment I knew it was something special and I have only one thing to ask of all of you. Please ignore the short F♯3 dips and that stupid C♯5. The clip tops at G♯4 besides that, so don't go calling those highs. Anyway, thank you for joining me on this journey we call life, and please, give the clip the score it deserves, thank you.
Best Low Singing: Billy on tha Cobb. 0:17 to 1:57. Very nice singing bottoming at solid G♯2s with enough variation to keep it from becoming boring. If I wanted a clip that was him sitting on G2 for 2 minutes, I would've used that, but this is more interesting. Yes I know there's an F4 at the end but we're not talking about that, this is about the lows.

{Best High Singing - Mao from SID} Timestamp to 3:15. Mao sings this jazz-rock fusion piece with confidence; building up from the soft pre-chorus as he moves higher, he enjoys belts up to A4 with falsetto up to E5 before a key change brings even more dramatic belting up to Bb4 and falsetto to F5. {Best Low Singing - Fei Yu-Ching} Timestamp to 1:18. In this round - or indeed this competition - often calculated concessions have to be made, and unfortunately Fei takes somewhat of a fall for the team here as none of my singers have spectacular, rich lows; despite that, this clip features comfortable, smooth singing with lows for him in the region of A2 - E3, with consistent tone and dynamics. It's not enough to blow your socks off, but it has enough going for it to warrant some points. {Best Usage of Mid-Range - Ayunga} Timestamp to 2:22. Ayunga delivers a refined mid-range performance here; with breathier, light singing followed by a richer tone in the triumphant bridge. His delivery is sincere, and turning on English CC will allow you to see how he channels the song's emotions. It can be hard to find a high-scoring mid-range clip, but with dynamics loud and soft, variety in tone and expert control, this is a good contender.
