In this duet, Ayunga (black jacket) sings the higher part in this duet with Fang Shujian in this thrilling performance, with his role spanning no more than one octave - C4 to C5 precisely. This includes dramatic belting all the way up to a sustained tenor high C, contrasted with tender, soft lower fourth octave notes. A complete performance.

Timestamp to 1:24. Mao shows off a well-rounded performance here, with soft, bright and easy singing down to B2 in the verses, before the song grows into a higher pre-chorus and a chorus full of satisfying A4-B4 belting, complete with some falsetto.

{Best Singing Spanning an Octave or Less - Cass Elliot}0:11–1:36. A3–A4. Cass folds some lovely emotion and sombre tones into the proverbial cake mix that is this performance. I find her conversational style in the verses going against the more *confident* singing of the chorus keeps it interesting.
