This is ellie v BassSquared in Round Five of the Clip-Off. You have five days to submit your clips, and until 23:00 BST Time November 18 to vote. November 19 is the Results Day. The singer you'll have to use this round will be the one you did not use in Round Three. Also, a thread has been opened for choosing your alt-team for round six! The categories for Round Five are: 1. Best Singing Spanning an Octave or Less: A clip that's made interesting despite not spanning more than an octave of vocal range. 2. Best Singing Spanning Two Octaves or More: Singing that's probably going out of its way to sound impressive by spanning two octaves of vocal range or more. The contestants are free to post their clips, voting commences as soon as they have. Vote here. Current Vote Count: 5

{Octave or Less: Steven Page}
1:23 to 2:48. Yeah this category isn't fun to find stuff for, but this clip is alright. Some good dynamic contrast and climactic-feeling moments while staying between G3 and G4 (outside of like maybe a nanonote or two but the actual melody is just one octave okay) {2+ Octaves: Noa Gruman}
6:08 to 8:08. A good clip in this category, to me, is about showing versatility and capability at both ends of one's range, and Noa certainly does that here. Spanning a respectable E3-B5, she goes from big, melismatic riffing in the final chorus to the soft, vulnerable outro, zigzagging from highs to lows in both.
