If you can hit an E2 at 11, you are either already past puberty (which is extremely unlikely) and have the voice of an adult or you're some kind of genetic freak and had extensive training. V.O.C.A.L. F.R.Y.

You can sing an E2 at age 11? E2 is pretty much the bottom of my singing range and I'm my 20's and no by means a high-placed vocalist. I've only learned to reach it in recent years and it isn't a exactly a comfortbale note. If you can hit an E2 at 11, you are either already past puberty (which is extremely unlikely) and have the voice of an adult or you're some kind of genetic freak and had extensive training. How do you know that you can indeed sing in the bass range? Did a teacher tell you? Not true- People like Glenn Miller, John Ames and Mark McCauley have reported similar things and they're world class Profundi. Also, it's not uncommon for people's cords to swell from the Testosterone flood and later on puberty, come back to normal- I recall Geoff mentioning having a C at his 14s, but it going up to Eb at his 20s or so- it's not impossible, just strange, and as someone who suffers from some birth defects in regard to testosterone I can attest it's not that uncommon

I'm sure there are 14 year old basses, but there are also 14 year olds who stand at 6ft5. I'm confused, what exactly was anecdotal about this? I'm not including studies and observations from the professionals I know because for one, that's wasting time, and second it's an internet argument

I don't know what the fuck this thread has become but I'd like to throw in this video of acapop! kids' cover of fix you. their bass, a (at the time) 15 year old Preston C Howell, goes down to a decent C2 in the bassline. not really a kid kid but 15 is pretty damn young

I expected this thread to have real examples and it's just a 20 year old arguing with a 10 year old about whether or not there are kids with deep voices smh Me too.
