Too early in the year to watch the movie just yet, but the film score for "Elf" is amazing. When this motif from the main theme comes back here, the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end.

Two from Metallica, nearly 30 years apart.
Here until the end. The combination of the music and the stage literally falling apart never fails to give me chills.
Here through 4:41. Can stand up to one of their best passages, IMO. And 35 years into their career!

Shred that fucking cuatro up, Yomo
I kinda wish Yomo Toro had been on all of the Lavoe era Willie Colón Orchestra records, but I guess that's the special thing about those Christmas albums (and the cuatro in general)

The melody through 1:36 could repeat forever and i'd be happy. It's that good.

{I Surrender} Just the way all three of their voices blend so well together: Maurice singing the falsetto backing vocals ("this is my life story" and "in the final hour"; he sounds a lot like Barry on this one), Robin singing backing vocals in the chorus (the "oh, no" after Barry's parts), and Barry alternating between chest voice and falsetto in the lead. Also, just the way the entire song builds up to that point makes it so much better.
