Chris is the bass player from english rock band Muse, he usually puts to Muse sound that force with solid bass lines, making good harmnoies and many times doing good counterpoint enriching Muse's music along with the pianos, the syntetizers and the guitars (mainly at three first albums). He's really good making bass lines, adding good melodies and once again, counterpoint to the composition; "Bliss", "Hysteria", "New Born", "Muscle Museum", "Darkshines", "Time is running Out", "Plug in Baby", "Sober", "Uno", "The Handler" just for saying some examples.
Chris sound is pretty known cause he uses the bass with lot of power and distortion, as Fuzz Factory pedal, or some Bozz pedals, sometimes even he uses some kind of "wah" effect at songs as "Darkshines" or "City Of Delusion", adding with the keyboards and other instruments previously named that dark essence to Muse sound. He composed two songs for the sixth Muse studio album: "Save Me" and "Liquid State" where he's the lead singer (and the background one as well lol).

jaredletoisbackagain remember you told me there's C♯3s in the acoustic version of "Sing for Absolution" but the lowest i'm hearing is E3s at the choruses: "Sing for Absolution", would you link me the notes you heared please?

On the other hand this used be in the old thread, not 100% sure but seems Chris do some kind of low sound that people counted as G2, he could not even be doing nothing there, though i think he talks to the micro for some reason lol, the quality of the audio doesn't help either and the big distance between the G2 and the D3 (or C♯3 supossing that's actually exists) is another indicator could be out of his shown range

Has he ever done lead vocals on more than the two songs off The 2nd Law? He's got a good voice and all, but when that much of his recorded singing is backing vocals, something like this might be more appropriate for Threadless Singers.

You can just forget about the G2 tbh. It was nothing. And it's been like 5-7 years since I (or someone else, can't remember) pitched the C#3 in Sing For Absolution. If you can't find it, it was probably mispitched at the time. But I'm gonna look in my old notes and see if I have anything else. I do remember he does some singing in the making of The 2nd Law that was kinda low.

Edit: specifically the making of Supremacy and Survival. But the latter is really scraping the barrel for notes.

-Checked for myself into tha "making of The 2nd Law" documentary and found the notes you talk about thanks! good range expansion to G♯ humming some notes from "Supremacy" percusion.

listen carefully to some quiet 'ooooooaaaahhhhh' backing vocals during this chorus. Chris is credited as backing vocals, not because of the screams (as we are still unsure as to who that is), but because of these harmonies. definitely not matt (though he has some extremely buried +1 octave harmonies whenever he sings the lyrics 'wont stand down' but they're so quiet I am tempted to remove them from his thread as they could honestly be an illusion)

-Yeah from that last chorus is where i got the falsetto vocals, (not sure if he's singing along the previous ones, i can't hear something consistent or clear) but that's not D5 to me,("ooooooaaaahhhhh" part) i hear A4 at begininng of the melody and few seconds after some B4s but that's the highest i think
