Hello! I'm Brenda, I think some of you guys might know me from TRP3, I interacted a lot on the Discord server, on the threads but also I actually note-watched, only ever completed one thread though, and it'd have to be brought here to the new forum.
Anyway, sorry, I shouldn't be re-introducing myself here I guess, but I just wanted to show some of my singing as of lately, I've done a lot of stuff since I left, not only singing but also some cheeky songwriting business, however I mostly compose instrumental pieces so I'm not gonna be showing them here. So here is some of the clips that I wanna show ya:
Memory from the Cats musical, I sung it in the style of Barry Manilow and I actually recorded it to a karaoke track of the song, so it's kinda lame, but I think the singing is probably ok. I also recorded it using my phone, so that's why the audio quality probably sounds crappy.
You've Got A Friend by Carole King, I like this one better than the Memory one not only because I'm actually playing the song while singing, but also because it's the type of performance where I'll go for a softer, lighter approach with my voice, I prefer it this way, but in some songs I don't mind sounding more "baritone" or whatever.
Exit Music by Radiohead, this recording makes me mad, because I fully believe I sing this song well and I think I did a good job at mixing the vocals to the instrumental even though I recorded it using my cellphone, however in the very high notes for some reason I think I just got a bit distant from the phone's mic so the volume is lower in these parts and this makes me mad, because I think I nailed it.
Now for something slightly different. You've heard me sing Barry Manilow, Carole King and Radiohead, but have you heard me sing Kate Bush? I don't promise it's good, but honestly I have a lot of fun singing her songs, it gives me a feeling of liberty, like my voice is flying or something.
