To me, one song that's always sounded like someone else is singing it is "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" by Frankie Valli, who's known to have a very distinct twang. It's something he uses on almost all his songs to my knowledge. But for this one song, he just decided to go without it. I sometimes even wonder if Valli really sang this song.

THANK YOU!!!! Oh my god! For almost six years, I've lived my life thinking that was Frankie Valli because that was always the first hit when I'd look up "four seasons can't take my eyes off you". It wasn't until just recently, when I've started listening to the Four Seasons more, that I noticed something was off. But I didn't supsect I was listening to a mislabeled cover version.

For the first time today, I've finally (knowingly) heard Frankie sing that song, and it is beautiful. A twang from heaven. Thanks so much!

I've always thought that during the harmonised vocal break in the middle of "God Gave Rock and Roll To You II", Paul sounded oddly like Jack Black. It's a bit of an oddity, as the rest of the song sounds like Paul's normal belting. This would have been before Jack Black had made any movies yet too.

I remember as a kid thinking "Sunshine On My Shoulders" was a Paul Simon song. Not only that, but I also misremembered it as the song he had sung in his appearance on SNL when he dressed as a turkey lol



Needless to say, this was before I knew much about John Denver or Paul Simon lol
