He hasn't quite mastered the vocal style of this album. It's pretty hard to listen to at some parts.

It's always been an issue that despite how good he is as a singer, he still decides to go above and beyond in the studio and record vocals that he can't possibly replicate live. Then he spends an entire tour shouting and losing his voice. This time he decided to record on tape without fixing any notes in post...and he still decides to write even HARDER material. So now he's not just shouting on tour, he's shouting in the studio as well.
I honestly really like a lot of the songs. The chord progressions, melodies, harmonies, instrumentation...at times it's all pretty damn good imo. But I can only handle so much of 110% shouting at all times.

Btw, not sure who actually notewatched the new album, but the B4s and C#5s seem pretty significant for Sad Clown. Moreso than A4. There's also some backing lows at 1:38 for example that I can't pitch. Are those really B2s?

Another thing, Do It To Death surely has loads of notes above A4. I can't pitch anything atm but 2:50-3:10 sounds like it has several. There's also backing vocal falsettos that are clearly Brendon on "die"

He did pretty well for his first show at the moody center.... Except the VLV songs, he is still struggling on those, He also added into the unknown and house of memories to the setlist.

He lost his voice just in time for the first show. Classic Brendon Urie. There was a clip on their Instagram and he couldn't even speak

that performance takes me back to this. man he used to really have something going for him. he may be very close to my least favourite vocalist ever but i will say that he probably could've killed it as a metalcore frontman i just discovered he had an metalcore song (idk if he ever released it fully but i do not keep up with him) and it sounds like every time i die - and i mean that as a compliment |

Sounds like it even gets as low as G♯1 or A1 at the end! Having said that, Brendon himself seemed to acknowledge that it was out of the ordinary for him, so maybe one for the spoiler.
