I don't know much about how voices work. Is there a reason Randy Newman sounds the way he does? Like, does he have thick cords or something? I can't describe it well, but he has this really distinctive cartoon character sort of tone. I don't want to go looking up interviews but I assume he talks like that because it sounds easy for him. He doesn't have a "bass voice" to me, or even really a low voice, just like a... chunky voice. Anyway it's really cool and I want to hear more about Randy Newman, or people who sound like him. I'm surprised there's no thread for him here.
