{Summary}
Mark Lanegan was an extremely productive man. Most well known for being a one time member of both Screaming Trees and Queens of the Stone Age, as well as his solo career, he seemingly always had multiple projects going on at one time. Lanegan's musical career started out with Screaming Trees in the mid 80s, who would become a part of the grunge scene in Seattle. While perhaps somewhat lesser known than some of their fellow bands would become, they were still a staple part of the scene. They had a fairly steadily rising level of popularity, peaking at their 1992 album Sweet Oblivion, after which they went on more than one hiatus and due to some building tension (among other things), the band announced its breakup in 2000. By this time, Lanegan had already released four solo albums, collaborated with the band Mad Season on their album Above, and soon became heavily involved with Queens of the Stone Age, going on tour with them and appearing on most of their albums, perhaps most notably Songs for the Deaf, one of the band's most successful releases. From there he went on to collaborate with many artists, such as Isobel Campbell, Greg Dulli (as The Gutter Twins), the band Soulsavers, Duke Garwood and Not Waving. Alongside his numerous projects, he somehow found the time to make many guest appearances as well.

Lanegan's vocal style in the early Screaming Trees days saw him focusing largely on his mid range, with his high range seeing a fair amount of use. Over the course of the band's career, particularly towards the latter end, his low range became more common and his high range became less so. This overlaps with his vocal style in his solo career, as after his first few albums (and around the time that Screaming Trees broke up), he started to explore his low range much more, and his high range much less, a trend which peaked around the late 2000s, after which he started to tap into his upper range occasionally, while still emphasizing his lower range much more. In his later years, his high range was still uncommonly used, but he still tapped into it from time to time, most notably throughout the Dark Mark vs Skeleton Joe album. His falsetto was very rare, only having been used a handful of times at the start of his career, with chest voice being his clear preferred technique. Lanegan not only possessed a fine, inimitable voice, he was also a prolific songwriter, and proved over the course of his career that he was never afraid of branching out into any kind of genre or style he wishes. He had a heavy impact on multiple different scenes with multiple different bands, something that very few others can say, and given that impact, as well as his consistently prolific output, his influence will certainly be felt for a long time.

A few things:
- I'm hearing the G1 as a non-melodic B♭1 personally
- The "This Lullaby" B1, the link isn't available for me, could you replace it by this link please: youtu.be/Sh_waGlEgpk?t=44. Also I'm hearing it as a G♯1!
- I'd mark the "Sneakers" B1 as non-melodic personally, also there's a B♭1 in the same song at 2:17 on the "bare feet", non-melodic too
- Another I'd mark as non-melodic is the "Tales of Brave Ulysses" A4
- I hear the "Where Did You Sleep Last Night" F♯5 touch G5 personally
- I'd count the "Wish Bringer" G5 personally, or at least it's more countable than the "Theodorus’ Lantern" F5 to me
- Granted the "Psycho" B♭5 isn't the prettiest note, but it seems countable enough to me? You do you though, I'd understand if you don't want to count it

7. I could count this. It's pitch is clear and it seems intentional, and I'd even call it singing, but it just sounds like he slightly broke the limit on what counts as a note. His vocal cords (or arytenoids? Some part of his vocal anatomy) don't seem to support that sound and you can hear it.

I think the "This Lullaby" note does go down to G#1 or at least lower than B1. Comparing it to the other B1's and even Bb1's, the pitch sounds lower and it sounds like there's more fry to it compared to the other notes as well.

Edit: Interestingly enough, Mark Lanegan has a longer low note section than a high note section. Interesting trend considering that even Peter Steele has a slightly bigger high note section compared to his low range.
