This is Baronessa v Tetra in Round Three of the Clip-Off. You have five days exactly to submit your clips, and until midnight EST Monday, December 12 to vote. December 13 is the Results Day.

Round Three is the One-Singer Wonder round, in which you must use the same singer for both categories. The categories for Round Three are:

1. Most Pleasant Tone: Affecting a satisfying tone in order to sound pleasing to the ears in one way or another.
2. Best High Belting: Utilizing one's chest and mixed voices to reach powerful high notes. Heady mix is acceptable too, but the chestier it sounds and the more 'ring' it has the better.

The teams are free to post their clips, voting commences as soon as they have.

{Most Pleasant Tone: Sade Adu - "The Sweetest Gift"}

:07 - 2:01. Sade comes to us in a dream of C3 - G4. For context, Sade had had a child in 1996 and this song very much feels like an ode to a loved one like that. The arrangement and her voice impressing upon us the somewhat fantastical innocence of children, while also keeping it very unpretentious to highlight the simple things that you come to appreciate in family life. To me it sounds like she's talking to her son through this song.

{Best High Belting: Sade Adu - "Morning Bird"}

2:15 - 2:38 (yes, I know the last passage isn't high belting, but just listen to it anyway because that makes it feel more conclusive). I didn't feel like burning my Best Live Performance clip for this category so have this relatively intense passage up to D5 instead. She really gets that belty 'ping' in there if I do say so myself.
