{Vocal Summary}This guy made his entire persona on YouTube sitting on a gym ball in front of a green screen, recording videos of him talking about video games and nostalgia, cracking up at his own jokes before telling them and saying the most goofy shit known to man and then he has the BALLS to make good music?
Say what you will about YouTubers making music but Jakey has clearly always been passionate about it - even when he'd started just making surprisingly anove-the-quality-for-the-gimmick rap reviews in 2016 on various video games with beats he created on the spot (followed up by making a song to shout out his patreon supporters) it was clear this guy had some sort of talent within him. Great ear for melodies and some genuinely soulful baritone goodness that has been known to make some of the best hooks in hip-hop known to man.
And now, after releasing his very long awaited debut album he's actually began making music that has all of the charm of his goofy personality with the ear for unreasonably fun instrumentals and empowered vocals that shine no matter what you think of the lyrical content. Dog Bless.
